Born and raised in Aotearoa New Zealand, founder Amanda Searancke started Nui in 2003. Her rural coastal childhood instilled in her a lifelong love of the great outdoors and a passion to preserve it for future generations. She decided that doing her bit to protect those outdoors would be getting people out of synthetic fibres and into woolly ones. And so, Nui Organics was born. Fast forward to 2022 and merino wool is still our hero fibre and in addition to those early knits for kids we now create high-quality, low-impact apparel in timeless, long-lasting styles for all the family. We use only sustainable materials and an ethical supply chain to take you seamlessly through the day with a light load and a light footprint. Our collections include GOTS certified organic merino, merino silk, merino linen, merino Tencel, knitwear and accessories.
