BetterInvesting®, a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit, investment education organization, has been empowering everyday Americans since 1951. Also known as the National Association of Investors™ (NAIC®), BetterInvesting provides unbiased, in-depth investing education and powerful online stock analysis tools to create successful lifelong investors. BetterInvesting members have access to the online Stock Selection Guide® (SSG®) which is the foundation of the BetterInvesting stock selection approach. The stock selection tools present sales, earnings, profitability, price-earnings ratios, dividends and other fundamental data in a highly visual, logical format. The SSG cuts through the clutter and organizes essential information on a company’s performance. This empowers individual investors to determine for themselves whether a company’s stock reflects a quality growth company, and whether the stock is selling at a reasonable price. Besides the resounding feedback from our members, another way we know the BetterInvesting methodology works is through how our members apply their education i.e., through data. We have established an equal-weighted index to track performance, much like the S&P500 Equal-Weight Index. The BetterInvesting 100 Total Return Index (BIXR) is comprised of the 100 companies whose stock is most widely held by NAIC/BetterInvesting Members as of the close of the previous calendar year.
